Recreational

Boys and girls ages 3-18

The goal of the recreational soccer program is to provide a fun, respectful, educational, and rewarding environment for players of all skill levels. Our curriculum will provide a platform for our athletes to develop individual skills, team concepts, and sportsmanship while building relationships and confidence.

Recreational soccer programming is designed by PASC’s professional soccer leaders to meet US Youth Soccer recommendations. All teams are led by trained volunteer coaches.

Programs are 8 weeks and are offered in the Fall and Spring seasons. Sessions and games are held outdoors at the club fields in Charlestown Park.

Fall Season begins the week after Labor Day.

Spring Season begins the first week of April.

**We use a birthdate cutoff to assign players into the appropriate age group. This cutoff is intended to align with school year/group.

During the training, parents will have the opportunity to participate. The last 30 minutes includes a game phase where players have the opportunity to compete against another PASC Pee Wee team. Volunteer Coaches

Volunteer parent coaches are vital to the success of the program. All that coaching requires is a positive attitude, willingness to make the experience fun for the players and completion of EPYS/PASC mandated volunteer clearances and training. PASC provides coaching equipment, practice space and a detailed, age-appropriate curriculum for practices and game management. If you are interested in helping with a team, please check the indicator box when registering your child. PASC is currently providing a discount on player registration for volunteer coaches.  This applies to both head and assistant coaches.

Uniforms/Equipment

Players will receive PASC uniforms (jersey, shorts, socks). All children MUST have shin guards, and soccer cleats are recommended. Please bring your own soccer ball to practices and pee wee sessions. These items are generally available in any sporting goods store including our club partner Dick's Sporting Goods (GEAR UP 20 % coupon promotions through PASC before the Fall and Spring seasons).

Soccer Ball Sizes: Size 3 – Pee Wee; Size 4 – U7-U12; Size 5 – U14 above

Players are strongly encouraged to bring a water bottle to the field. Water (rather than sports drinks) is critical for hydration.

Junior Ref Program

PASC has long had a junior referee program in our recreational soccer programming. This is an opportunity for our older players to engage with younger players sharing their love of soccer. The program is open to all current club players (U14 and up). Jr. Refs are paid and gain valuable real life work experience while giving back to their community.

The Jr Refs officiate games in our U8 and U10 programs, which are 4v4 and 7v7 respectively. These games are played on Saturdays between 8:30AM and 2:30PM.

Jr. Refs will be assigned to a game time (or multiple time slots) on a weekly basis.

Interest in the program will be collected prior to each season start.

**Players 14 years old and above may opt for becoming a licensed EPYSA Referee.
